Seven suspects are in custody following an investigation into a shooting last month in Fresno.
Detectives with the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested five high school students and two adults in connection with a shooting on August 21st in the parking lot of an AutoZone store at Clinton and Cedar.
The arrests include four students from McLane High School and one from Hoover High School.
All of them have been booked into juvenile hall on gun-related charges, with some also facing accessory charges.
Deputies responding to that shooting found no gunshot victims but learned a disturbance started with a large group of McLane High School students.
At one point, a 15-year-old boy pulled a handgun and pistol-whipped a teenager, and a 16-year-old student pulled a gun and fired shots as people ran.
